Cincinnati is where we call home! So it doesn’t sit to well when we find out that Ohio is ranked in the top 5 of Human Trafficking states. Chances are it is going on around you and you don’t even see it happening. It is everywhere. In fact 100,000-300,000 American youth are at a high risk of being trafficked for sex.
Just recently Ohio became the 40th state to pass legislation related to human trafficking, to stiffen penalties and impose mandatory sentences. That is a great start, but we at Unbound think its not enough until we abolish Human Trafficking in our state. Through Unbound we are partnering with local organizations that have made it their mission to bring an end to Human Trafficking and Sex Trafficking.
Through out this site you will have the opportunity to partner with these organizations moving forward and helping them spread the Movement! What once use to be a state where people would travel to seek freedom, has become a state heavily trafficked by individuals looking to benefit their pockets by human and sex trafficking!
